In August, I had a long flight: Almaty - Frankfurt - Washington, D.C. - Denver, CO - Tucson, AZ. In Frankfurt, I met another exchange student from Indonesia, Lokesj. There also is Alisher Imyarov, Lokesjwari Sari, Gizat Makhanov. Had a passer by take our picture.
Our group of FLEX students stayed in Washington, D.C. for one night, and then everybody took their different planes to their places of destination.
The next day after I arrived in Tucson, AZ, I started discovering the City where I will live for almost a year. I liked the mountain which reminded me of home, and I was shown the Tucson Mall, one of the biggest shopping centers in the state, a place you have to be careful of or you can spend all of your money there!
However, the day I arrived, my school started, but Mr. Sawyer let me sleep and recover from the long flight. So I sat at my desk in my room on Friday the 13th. Yes, you are right, it was a great day!
Here is a picture of both of us, my host father and me. I like him! Sorry, I just don't have enough vocabulary to describe him and his character.
Within 2 weeks of being in the USA, there was an AYUSA meeting, which was held by our regional rep Peggy Olson. She is a great person. PJ (what she goes by) does a lot of good things for us, exchange students, and I really appreciate it.
