Saumya is currently a biomedical engineering doctoral candidate at the University of Arizona. Saumya is very excited to be more closely involved with such a dynamic group as TASCC and looks forward to traveling to Kazakhstan in the near future.

Ph.D. in engineering, now working in industry. Strong and continuing interest in education and international collaboration. Goal is to visit a continent a year and see how culture and country influences lifestyle. Member of TASCC since 2007.

    Vice President and co-owner of White Hat Elevator and Lift Company.  Retired from Tucson Medical Center in September of 2006.  Hiking, reading and physical fitness are hobbies.  Three  trips to Almaty.  Became member of TASCC in 1992.

Jerry Gary, Treasurer
    President and co-owner of White Hat Elevator and Lift Company.  Retired from Hughes Aircraft Company in 1992 and started elevator business.  Cornet player in the Old Pueblo Brass Band. Joined TASCC in 1990 and has traveled to Almaty on seven occasions.

Barbara Chinworth, Past Chair
Is retired from teaching public school music. Fills the musical gap by playing in Arizona Symphonic Winds and Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra, conducting the Old Pueblo Brass Band and sometimes singing and playing with her trio of friends, the Wildflowers. Barbara's three big trips to Almaty,were eyeopeners and not replaceable by any other study.
