A magnificent silent auction is being held Tuesday, April 3^rd on the occasion of our 20^th birthday party.  Proceeds from this auction will help bring the Isker Almaty Boy’s Choir to Tucson in January of 2008.  People-to-People Diplomacy through education, culture and economic development is the mission of the Tucson-Almaty Sister Cities Committee.  The Isker Almaty Boy’s Choir  follows the Salpointe Mariachi group’s trip to Almaty in 2003.  In 2005,  the Kazakh National Folk Ensemble spent 11 days in Tucson doing workshops and performancesbefore over 3000 public school students and a concert at Crowder Hall at the Universityof Arizona.  Your tax deductible contribution will help defray the costs of housing, lodging and transportation for this 41-member group.
