Neil and Carol West BBQ for UA students from Kazakhstan

Neil and Carol West held a wonderful, downhome style BBQ September 22, at their eastside home, for the UA students from Kazakhstan, and members of Tucson-Almaty Sister Cities Committee. Neil was the chef and cooked many rounds of chicken which were complimented with potluck selections brought by TASCC members. Presentations to Neil and Carol West included a certificate of appreciation, TASCC lapel pins, a desk sized flag of Kazakhstan, and a map of Almaty. Ward Two Councilwoman Carol first met the students a year ago at a reception for them at the UA. Part of the evening, tutors Ken, Chuck and Stacy had time to chat with the students.
